God has blessed us with a responsibility to come alongside parents and raise the next generation to grow in their faith in Jesus. He is inviting us to take the next steps in developing our twenty-five-acre property to create a space where kids can grow in their faith for generations to come. Our goal is to raise funds necessary to build a new Kids Building that will house all of our Bridge Kids from one-year-olds to fifth graders.
The history of this location is that decades ago it was used to grow carrots. Knowing that, awhile back during a leadership prayer time, one of our leaders prayed,
“God, you have always been growing things on this property. It used to be carrots and now it’s people.”
This metaphor captured our hearts. Yes! It used to be carrots but now God is growing adults and children as disciples here at The Bridge. Think about that carrot that grew here on the farm. That carrot’s purpose is not to remain on the farm where it grew, but to be sent out into people’s homes to bring physical nourishment. And that is our purpose now. That here, more people will grow up as followers of Jesus, being sent out to bring spiritual nourishment to our neighborhoods, schools, workplaces, and city. This is why we exist.
